Erica is the founder of Lotus Alliance C.I.C and Lotus Clinics. She was born in a family of 6 generations of Chinese medicine but wasn't interested in Chinese medicine initially, Until when she's 40 years old she got serious ill which made her take stock of meaning of life. She then decided to learn Chinese medicine and set helping people staying healthy as her life-goal.

Erica studied 4 years of Chinese acupuncture in the renowned College of Integrate Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in Reading, after which she continued to learn from PhD. Doctor Liuzhong Ye who invented the Channel palpation diagnosis and acupoints treatment. She also learned from teacher Mao, the official heir of Daoyin Anqiao treatment in China, a form of acupoint treatment regarded in Huangdi Neijing as the highest treatment method of Chinse medicine, due to its none intrusive and the most natural and elegant treatment style.  Erica also learned Chinese Tuina  treatment massage from her aunty in China which brought her back to her family stream.

Graduated from Nanjing TCM University with a Bachelor degree in Clinical Science in 1969, Dr. Xu has been practicing TCM for over 50 years. She started practising TCM in the UK since 2002 and set up her own clinic in 2008 in Richmond. During her 20 years of practice in the U.K., Dr. Xu has treated a number of chronic and difficult conditions with distinctively positive clinical results, especially in treating gastrointestinal disorders, gynaecology, infertility and skin problems.
During her early years of practice, Dr. Xu earned a great reputation through initiating the concept of tailor-made herbal tea to treat the local flood-led epidemics of bacteria dysentery and acute jaundice hepatitis during a period of supply shortage of antibiotics, effectively controlling the spread of the epidemics. Dr. Xu was a doctor-in-charge in several leading hospitals in China and carried out treatment for various acute and chronic diseases, many with distinct results. Before her retirement in China,  Dr. Xu worked as a director for the Ministry of Health in China in charge of Post-graduate and Post-doctorate Education in TCM. Dr. Xu currently serves as the vice chairman for the Specialty Committee of Paediatrics of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.

PhD. MBacC, Lic. Ac., 

Dr. Gu has a PhD. background in western medicine as well as a Bachalor degree in Chinese medicine and acupuncture. She treats patients with acupuncture and Chinese herbs.
